청대산
청대산은 해발 230m로 주변에 소나무가 무성하여 그 푸르름으로 인해 청대라는 이름이 붙여졌으며 소야8경(所野八景)에는 우뚝솟은 산이 마치 그림을 그려놓은 병풍을 둘러친 것과 같다하여 ′청대화병(靑垈畵屛)′이라 하였다. 또한 정상에서 보는 속초시가지와 동해일출뿐만 아니라 대청봉, 달마봉, 울산바위 등 설악을 가까이에서 조망할 수 있는 천연전망대이다. 사시사철 속초시민이 즐겨찾고 있는 유일한 시민 등산로로 나날이 인기를 더해가고 있는 코스이다. 청초호 관람후 청대산에 올라 숨겨진 속초의 비경을 모두 훔쳐 봄직한 장소이다.
